Early Concepts & Ideas
This design challenge was to seamlessly integrate an AI chatbot into an existing app.
I focused on enhancing Nuuly's "Catbot"—their AI assistant—with the goal of simplifying the monthly rental process, while also driving higher conversion and retention rates.
My process involved performing a competitive analysis and user research to improve the usability of Nuuly’s Catbot and prototyped a way to leverage generative LLMs into the curation on the monthly rental package.
A Catbot for Hannah
To ground this redesign, I created a proto-persona, Hannah, who is a 37-year-old CEO of a marketing firm in Chicago, a mom of two, who values efficiency and style. She relies on technology to streamline her busy life, from signing up her kids to camp to preparing partners meetings, she has little time to spare.
“My Creative Energy is Precious”
As a busy woman, she does it all.
She Loves…
...Getting her Nuuly shipment each month But...
She dreads…
..selecting it each month.
She’s been a Nuuly subscriber for a while, but lately, she’s come to not like putting together her Nuuly each month. It takes hours, the options are endless, and the browsing just takes way too much cognitive energy, which is already on overload..
Hannah’s Wish…
.
She wishes the Catbot, nuuly’s chatbot, could suggest a pre-curated package that she could easily edit cutting the time and cognitive load by 75%.
How might we leverage AI technology to integrate an AI chatbot into our online clothing browsing process so that it preselects user’s monthly selection, making it easier and more efficient for women to curate their rental packages. The expected outcome is increased customer retention and conversion rates.
LLM’s can be leveraged to create solutions for busy women. The ability to have a problem-solving conversation, hands-free, while on the go, could make any app a woman’s new best friend.
